Thank you for becoming a member of the LGBT CSA! Members are what make every event and activity possible. Pursuant to House ethics rules, our membership is limited to persons who are employed by the United States Congress, including the staff of the Library of Congress, Architect of the Capitol and state and district offices. If you join, you will:

  • Be a part of a unique social and professional group in the House of Representatives

  • Attend development events with interesting speakers from both on and off Capitol Hill

  • Become a part of a movement to increase and promote diversity in House offices

  • Network with LGBT colleagues on a regular basis

Annual Membership for First-time Members, Interns and Fellows

Members of the LGBT Congressional Staff Association have contributed funds to our Pay It Forward fund to waive membership fees for Interns in House of Representatives offices.

The LGBT Congressional Staff Association is committed to diversity and inclusion. We believe no staffer or intern should be denied the ability to experience the benefits of Membership due to a financial barrier. To that end, we are proud to introduce the 'Pay It Forward' program, which allows current LGBT CSA members to sponsor membership dues for individuals who demonstrate financial need. The additional donation of $20 will be 100% used to offset membership dues of new interns and staffers with financial hardship. Any money donated through the ‘Pay it Forward’ program will be completely separate from our general budget and earmarked solely for helping new members in need.

If you have any questions about becoming a member, ‘paying it forward’ to lend a hand to new LGBT members, or would like to avail yourself of this confidential program, please contact our Membership Director, Sarah Jackson, at

If you are not eligible for membership but would still like to donate, you can do so on our Donate page.
