Gen Silent Film Screening

Please join Logo, Viacom, and Director Stu Maddux for a snak screening of documentary film GEN SILENT.

“Gen Silent” is a powerful documentary that looks at the hardships and legal battles facing LGBT elders today. In the wake of marriage equality and as the LGBT Elder Americans Act moves through Congress, those who fought the earliest battles for equality now face fear of discrimination in health care/long-term care. Many are forced to hide their past lives, are afraid to ask for help, and die earlier. But, a small group of professionals are trying to change that. “Gen Silent” is told through the eyes of six LGBT seniors in Boston, Massachusetts.

After the screening there will be a reception and brief panel discussion that will include experts in the LGBT and Elderly communities.
