Human Rights Campaign Screening of Cate Blanchett and rooney Mara's "CAROL"

You are invited to a special screening of Carol –starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara from renowned director Todd Haynes (Far From Heaven, I’m Not There) hosted by the Human Rights Campaign next Wednesday November 18th at 7pm at the AMC Loews in Georgetown.   

Following the screening there will be a Q&A and discussion with the film’s award-winning producers Chrstine Vachon (Boys Don’t Cry) and Elizabeth Karlsen (The Crying Game). 

Carol tells the unexpected love story between two women, Carol (Blanchett) and Therese (Mara), set in 1950s New York.  Based off Patricia Highsmith’s seminal and LGBT-pioneering novel The Price of Salt, the film has breathtaking performances by Blanchett, Mara, as well as Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) and Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story).
