Moment of Silence for Orlando

In the wake of this weekend’s shooting in Orlando, the LGBT Congressional Staff Association and Congressional Muslim Staff Association, in conjunction with other congressional staff, will hold a joint vigil and moment of silence at the U.S. Capitol today at 4:30 p.m. ET on the House East Front Steps.

At the event, the Chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives, Father Patrick J. Conroy, will give an interfaith prayer followed by a moment of silence for those lives lost or injured.

All congressional staff and Members of Congress are welcome to attend.
