Observance of Transgender Day of Remembrance

Monday, November 20th, is Transgender Day of Remembrance. This is a time for us to honor the memory of lives lost to anti-transgender violence.

Please join the LGBT Congressional Staff Association, the LGBT Senate Staff Association (GLASS), and LC-GLOBE on Monday at 1:00 p.m in the grassy area behind the House Steps (aka "Zone 10") for a moment of silence and a reading of names in remembrance of those we have lost in 2017.

We will be joined by our friends at the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) and the National LGBTQ Task Force.

Bishop Allyson Abrams, founder and current pastor of Empowerment Liberation Cathedral in Silver Spring, MD, will lead us in the moment of silence.

ALL staff are welcome and encouraged to join. Please RSVP if you can make it.

Below is a map of the Capitol grounds demonstration areas to help you find Zone 10.
