2014 has been an amazing year for the reenergized LGBT Congressional Staff Association (LGBT CSA). The Board unveiled a brand new website to keep you better informed, hosted helpful networking opportunities for staff and interns, and grew the ranks of our membership. Our fellow Congressional staffers, the state of our Association is strong!
The LGBT CSA will hold a General Membership meeting on November 10 at 4:00pm in room 121 Cannon. The purpose of the meeting will be to solicit feedback from the membership on the direction of the CSA, vote on a proposal to amend the bylaws of the CSA, and discuss the process for next year’s Board elections. This meeting will be consequential, and we encourage every paid member of the CSA to attend.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10
At the meeting, the Board will propose to amend the LGBT CSA’s bylaws to reflect the Board’s renewed focus on the core mission of the CSA: the professional advancement of our members. While the current bylaws state that we must hold two different membership meetings to propose and adopt changes to the bylaws, in the interest of everyone’s time, we are sending you a copy of the proposed bylaws now in lieu of holding two separate meetings. You can find a copy of the proposal and a summary of major changes linked below. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
