The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Congressional Staff Association (CSA) announced today that its membership has elected its new board of directors for 2016, with Mitchell Rivard serving as the organization’s president. A picture of the new board, along with biographies, can be viewed here.
“The LGBT Congressional Staff Association is dedicated to helping LGBT staffers succeed on Capitol Hill and our new board of directors is already putting together great career and networking events for the new year,” said Rivard. “We are always welcoming new members, both Democrats and Republicans, and look forward to expanding the great progress the LGBT CSA has made over the last year. We are a safe and diverse space for any LGBT Capitol Hill staffers looking to meet new people and get advice for their career.”
The LGBT CSA is a non-partisan, officially sanctioned organization in the U.S. House of Representatives whose mission is to advance the interests of LGBT staff, promote professional development opportunities and advocate for the LGBT community at large. The LGBT CSA has previously held successful events year-around on Capitol Hill, including monthly speaker series events with distinguished guests, networking happy hours, and career workshops.
